I have a unique style that is both contemporary and unobtrusive, while still capturing all those special moments throughout the day. My friendly and relaxed attitude makes everyone feel at ease and I tends to take a step back to allow you to enjoy your day, without the camera feeling like a constant presence.
I, like most people loath having my photo taken, therefore my style instinctively means that I will try and capture people when they are unaware so I produce images that are natural and absolutely capture the fun and enjoyment of the day.
Most of my images are not posed and, therefore, allows everyone to forget about her and carry on celebrating.
I don’t get offended that everyone ignores me. People don’t want a photographer bossing them around. I often get letters from couples after the day thanking me for not being intrusive and asking how I got such great shots when they were completely unaware of me most of the time!
I will of course spend time taking posed and classic shots of all the groups and will spend some time creating some beautiful images of the bride and groom. I try to make it as fun as possible, the key is getting people to laugh so that they don’t feel like it’s a chore and being as efficient as possible so they don’t become too bored.
I produce two different but equally beautiful wedding albums.
I offer a Hand - Bound Reportage Album, which is slightly more traditional but still has a contemporary edge. I also offer a Coffee Table Book, which is a new addition and gives you the chance to be really creative.
I feel that the planning and design of the album is as equally important as the photographing of the wedding.
I usually sit down with the couple after they have chosen their images and we spend a couple of hours designing the layout of the album on the computer. This means that they can have total control over how they want their album to look.
I believe that the key to being a successful wedding photographer is being able to put people at ease straight away and having an eye for not only producing beautiful images but for capturing what the day is about, so that when you look back over your album in years to come the images invoke how you felt on your wedding day.
